As of March 2007, Bally Studios are pleased to offer 1 hour Drum Practice sessions in the smallest of the rooms that we offer, Studio 3. In the past, Studio 3 has been able to accommodate 5 piece bands, so the room doesn't have the claustrophobic feel of many of the drum practice rooms that are on offer.

Price Details 

If you would like to book Drum Practice Sessions, you can book them one at a time, but if you know that you are likely to use the room regularly, you can pay for sessions in advance and make substantial savings.  These sessions can then be booked in as you go or you can set aside a regular slot for yourself.  Either way, you can make yourself quite a saving, and for £100, you can book 22 weeks worth of drum practice, at 1 hour per week.  That's 5 months worth, or just £5 an hour for the room, Drumkit, PA with CD player or Headphones and, of course, fee teas and coffees.  We also offer free parking. 

Note; These prices are offered without the hire of High Quality Cymbals.  The vast majority of bands that use the kit will bring their own cymbals, but we have high quality Meinl Cymbals available for an extra £1 per hour, whether you book 1 session or block book many sessions.  We also offer basic cymbals, but in order to get the best out of the kit, we really recommend you use good quality cymbals 

The Drum Practice Studio comes equipped with a massive 2 x 1,200 watt PA that can be used to play CD's that you can drum along to.  You can also plug in your i-pod/ MP3 player, although we ask you to please bring with you the relevant cables as we are unable to guarantee that we will have the relevant cables due to many cables not being returned in the past

When are sessions available? 

The only way that we are able to offer our drum practice is to base it around the sessions that we have booked for bands, so currently we are booking the room as follows:

* Sessions available all day on Saturday and Sunday  within 3 days notice, to be booked around bands.

* Sessions during the week (Mon - Fri)  between 7pm - 12am are currently available with less than 2 days notice. However Drum Practice sessions can be booked between 12pm - 7pm in advance.

* Drum Practice sessions can be booked in 1 hour slots, and you can book as many 1 hour slots as you like.  2-3 hour sessions are also available at certain times.

* Please note that any drum tuning or setting up of cymbals must be done within this time, as we cannot allow extra time for this.  

* We also sell Drumsticks in the Studio Shop from £3.95 for cheap ones, to £7.95 for Vic Firth good quality ones.  (We now stock sizes 7A, 5A, 5B and 2B.  If you require a certain size, please call ahead to check that we have it in stock)

Drum Kit Details

At the studio, it used to be that Studio 3 was our main studio for drum practices.   Now, due to the fact that we are so busy all of the time, it may be the case that studio 3 may be already booked up in advance, and if that is the case, then we will be unable to offer Studio 3 for a drum session, but we can arrange your rehearsal in another studio instead for the same cost.   All 5 of our main kits are kept in good order and are genuinely liked by many of the bands that come here, and we can honestly say, with hand on heart, that we have never had any complaints about our drum kits. As you can probably see, we have an extra floor tom for all of our kits, so they're all 6 piece.   Our 5 kits are
