How
to get from the tube station to the Studios?
Now
then, a couple of points. We are located at the end of Mill Mead Road,
which is just around the corner from the tube station.
So
if you're coming to the studios on the tube, you'll get off the train, and
go up the escalators to exit the station. Just after swiping
your oyster card on the reader, you'll be hit with this view

You
only just swiped your oyster card, and already you're being given
directions to the Millmead Industrial Area. Here's a clearer
view

We
think it's probably a bit optimistic to say it's only 300 yards to the
Millmead Industrial area, which we're located in, but still, it's not far
off that. Ahead of you, underneath the sign, is where the trains come
in:

Just
along this platform, just up along the left, next to where the fella is with
his dog, are toilets, (in case you've had a long journey) and a little shop
that sells magazines and coffees.

Notice
the Oyster Card reader in that last photo, which should save you buying
a separate travel card if you decide to use the train.
Anyway, you'll walk out the main entrance of the station, and when you leave Tottenham Hale station, you are met with the
following sight.

Yep,
pretty darn amazing, eh? This is also where the buses come in.

So you
walk down the steps to the bus stop outside.

See that bus stop? Walk up to it.......

When you reach
the bus stop, look to your left, and you'll see the following steps, with
Currys at the top of them:

You'll
need to go up these steps. You can either walk them normally, or
sprint up them like Rocky did in Rocky 1.

At the top turn left. Now you
are on Ferry Lane, walking towards the studios. Here is your
view

You'll
walk under this sign

And
past this bus stop...

Which
is actually called Mill Mead Road, so if you're on the bus, they'll
announce that the stop is called Mill Mead Road. The Rail replacement
bus will stop here if there are ever works on the Victoria Line (which
isn't very often, as extensive works were carried out in 2008-2009) Mere
seconds later, you'll come to the set of traffic
lights. Hark at their majesty. They'll look
like this:

Just
before that, you'll see signs that re-assure you that you are indeed
walking in the correct direction. Well you see "most" of
a sign that shows you are going in the right direction,

At
this cross roads, you'll see the signs for Mill Mead Road, the directions
to MillMead Business Centre and Millmead Industrial Centre

Here
is the first view of Mill Mead Road you'll see. Remember, building
site to the left, trees to the right.

You'll
get to a kink in the road, but still continue....

Soon
you'll start to see the Millmead Business Centre in the distance

It's
getting closer. Remember the yellow sign on the side, and the
green canopy of the cafe

Soon
you'll be right next to it, Millmead Business Centre.
That's what the MBC on the side stands for.

Right
next to where the silver car is in the above photo, to the left of the green
Cafe
sign, is the second entrance to the building. This entrance is
only open from Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm and Saturday, 10am -
2pm, so for many bands, it will be closed a lot of the time they are
here. Anyway, it will look like this:

It is
the entrance people use when the cafe is open, hence the bread trays
outside it. If you go back to the main photo of the building: See
the little hut on the right of that building? That's the security
guard hut

Here
is where we can explain the difference between the Millmead Business
Centre and Millmead Industrial Centre, The industrial area is the
whole site, but within the site, there is a building called Millmead
Business Centre. So Millmead Business Centre is a building,
Millmead Industrial Area is a collection of many buildings. We're
inside Millmead Business Centre. Here's a sign showing the layout of
the Industrial Centre

And
in the bottom left corner of the map, you can see the Business Centre,
within the Industrial Centre

In
fact, right next to the security guard hut, and this sign, you will see a
sign that looks like this, with our flyers in it

We are
located inside of this building. It has a cafe
on the corner called Weighbridge Cafe.

Now then, walk to the
right of the building, which will mean that you're going in the same
direction as the road that led you here. Soon, you will be
looking at the building from side on:

You
can see the entrance, just above the blue van in that photo. Upon
walking right up to it, it will look like this:

Complete
with sign over the door. Upon walking inside, the lift will be
in front of you:

When
you've got this view in front of you, look to the right. You'll see
this view now:

We
are the second door on the left.
If
you need a recap, here is a little video of the view you'll get from
leaving the station and going to the studio:
***Video
coming very soon***
That's
where we are, on the ground floor. The main office door is number
16. Unit 16, inside the Millmead
Business Centre. Not the Industrial Estate.
Bally
Rehearsal and Recording Studios are located in Tottenham, a mere 6-7 mins
stroll from the tube station. It is 670 metres from the station.
Yep, we did count. With the average walking speed being 120-130 metres a
min, some people will walk it in 5 mins, most will take 6-7 mins,
Either way, it's close.
There
is a large allocation of free parking, just outside the recording
studio/rehearsal rooms, and there are security guards at the studio 24/7
operating a barrier system to further improve security. Oh, there is a no entry sign that is right next to the cafe, that says you
can't drive to the right of the Business Centre, but this only applies to
the Millmead Industrial Estate, so if you're coming for the studio, it's
fine to drive up here against the sign.
